I Castelli Animati presenta in collaborazione con il Japan Media Arts Festival – Overseas Promotion (Agency for cultural Affairs – Government of Japan) un originale programma dedicato a Tomoyasu Murata, Maestro della Stop Motion, per scoprire un lato forse meno conosciuto ma molto interessante dell’animazione Giapponese. Murata impiega la stop motion in modo espressivo, consentendo agli spettatori di sperimentare con i propri occhi, orecchie, tatto e persino attraverso l’aria. Ha costantemente cercato di esprimere l’idea del mujo (impermanenza), che è un concetto molto importante per i giapponesi. Tra i lavori di Murata, una serie di corti nati dopo il grande terremoto che ha colpito il Giappone nel 2011.
